Writing and Publishing for Therapists–
Exploring Creative and Commercial Writing
Saturday 5th Sept–9.30 a.m.- 4.30 p.m. – cost £70

Therapists and counsellors regularly use creative and commercial skills. Many also harbour ambitions to write and publish their work. This practical workshop engages directly with both the creative traits and commercial skills required to get results as a writer. Delivered by a published writer, journalist and scriptwriter and developed in conjunction with practicing psychotherapists, the one-day workshop is broken into activity sessions focussed on the essentials of success. It is also geared to provide general guide-lines and apply these specifically to the needs of individual participants in the workshop.

The informal and supportive workshop will introduce:

Creative thinking techniques and identification of specific creative traits.
Target setting exercises, designed to identify your likeliest route(s) to success as a writer.
Action planning to incorporate ambitious long-term targets as a writer.
A guide to changes in the industries employing writers and the impact of ongoing change on opportunities for professional writing.

Join the workshop if you enjoy:

Writing and communication.
Using your imagination to solve problems.
Using humour and creativity as part of your own personal development.

The presenter Neil Nixon is an author and scriptwriter holding higher degrees in both Education and Creative Writing.
