...What it would be like if we were all friends on Facebook? Weird random thought, I know, but I've always thought about what it would be like. :giggle:

I wouldn't know what it might be like as I've never been on facebook!!

 Haha :p It's a social networking site, a lot of fun for catching up with people you would otherwise have probably never seen again.

Strange really, isn't it, how the whole world ends up spending time talking to other people they may have never talked with and may never meet? What is the attraction in talking to other people? I know we've formed a connection but will it endure in the same way it might have done if we'd met face to face? Of course, if we had met face to face the connection may not have been made - you may not have liked me or vice versa.

I see what you mean. Like when someone becomes my "friend" on Facebook or wherever, yet I have never and will never meet this person. Yet great relationships are formed online every day, without the "hassle" (oh maybe that's not the right word) of real-life relationships, i.e. worrying about appearance, how my voice sounds, etc.

Yes, but without those worries I sometimes feel something is missing. I suppose that in some way we need confirmation that we are liked despite those negative aspects we suspect we have? I'm going to have to go get the day started (breakfast first!). I hope you enjoy yours - don't be a stranger - I like to hear from you...........

I especially need that confirmation. But it's alright, I'm ok like you've always said. Have a nice day, and thank you :)

What I find strange about Facebook is all the people who have added me as "friends" from my secondary school, yet when we were actually at school they wouldn't give me the time of day! I accept their friendships on Facebook but they don't even say hi or anything, sometimes it feels like a popularity contest to see how many friends people can get.
Having said that I do use facebook and enjoy looking through others photos and see what they're getting up to etc. I don't enjoy the whole progress reports of people telling you what they're doing every minute of every day but I do enjoy other aspects of it (have even got in to Fishville!)

I know...people who don't even like me will "add" me! Some I accept, some I ignore if I can't stand the person lol.

I don't have a Facebook :P I imagine it would be depressing for me to see others getting on well in their lives and their holiday pics etc, although I would be happy for them :) .. I don't have any friends in real life, so I don't need a faceboook! :(
