Hi, i'm new to this but I have been searching for this kinda place for awhile. I have been going through alot lately and actually for a long time now and it doesn't seem no matter what I do things get worse. So its just good to know there are people out there that actually care enough to start something to help people get through.
Well a little about myself, I was diagnosed with BPD and major depression at a very young age. About 6yrs old. Ive been through the whole counseling, meds thing and now I'm trying to deal with life without them. It's really hard. Especially without a support system. So again thanks for caring enough to help.

Hi there and :welcome: to the forum
I too am really glad that you found this forum and hope that it provides you with some support through both the difficult and good times. It sounds like you've been through a lot in your life and have tried counselling, medication, etc. to help feel better. How are things going now that you're not in counselling or medication? You say you don't have a support system and i am particularly pleased you've found this forum.. i truly hope we can be part of your support system and help each other through.
Take really good care of yourself and remember we're here anytime you want to talk or anything. As you can see the forum is still pretty new (i only started it a week ago) but hopefully more people will find us and it'll grow.

Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome. As for how I'm doing without meds and counseling....um it's been getting really difficult. Especially lately because my mind tends to race so fast that sometimes I can't sleep at night. Then without sleep I am real irratated. Among with all the other issues going on sometimes I just want to run away from everything. Ive done it before but only ended up in a worse situation. I don't know maybe can elaborate more later.

Have you mentioned your racing mind to your doctor? Sometimes it is a side effect of the meds or an adjustment that may need to be made. Going without sleep is awful. I hope you get that aspect figured out so you can deal with your other issues.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that your mind is racing sometimes making sleep difficult. I know that I feel so much worse when i can't sleep.. i normally become very grumpy and tearful. I hear you really want to run away from everything and that when you've tried this before it's made things worse... but i'm left wondering what it is that you want to run away from. You don't have to answer here if you don't want to but just wanted to let you know that i'm hearing you and care.

Hi Spyke (I'm curious about your user name...!)
If you've been suffering since you were 6, you've lost a lot of your childhood, it seems to me. Hope you can find what you need here or elsewhere.
