This was a really mad but interesting documentary film about a tightrope walker who walked between the Twin Towers unsupported!! He is totally mad, and although i got quite bored of the film (there's quite a build up to the story so found myself fast forwarding) it was kinda worth it just to see this man walk between the towers!
Still in shock to be honest.. can't quite believe it! Oh but don't watch if you're really scared of heights.. this man clearly has no fear of heights!

I've got to be honest here Jenny and say you haven't really sold this one to me!
To paraphrase 'Its mad, he is mad, you got bored, you fast forwarded, it may cause shock and fear in some people but its kinda worth it'

:moon::D lol oh yes, i see where you're coming from... but honestly.. think about it - a mad man tightrope walking between the twin towers? It's kinda like when you drive past an accident and "have" to slow down - doesn't this film make you wanna see it!?

I just watched 'Touching The Void' - another dark documentary that you shouldn't watch if you have a fear of heights!! Seen it before but yet again it left me at the edge of my seat.. is just amazing.

I saw this film today and thought it was great! Ok so there was a lot of swearing but the humour was so dry and sarcastic (just like mine!) so found it great. Not sure if it was supposed to be a comedy as there were some suicide scenes in it, but really enjoyed it anyway. Don't watch if you get offended by lots of swearing though!

I watched 'Eastern Promises' the other day and thought it was good too. Violent film so don't watch if you're not keen on murder scenes, but a strange sauna scene and a good twist in the storyline :)

I liked In Bruge.
I thought it was meant to be a comedy but after the whole murder/suicide thing I wasn't so sure.
It's a good film though.

History of Violence was on tv the other day - I recorded it and watched it last night after someone at work said it was a good film. Yes it was violent at times (as the title suggests) but it was really good! I keep thinking about it today..
It's a David Cronenberg film.. he also did 'Eastern Promises' which was also good. It has a really strange shower scene in it and isn't for the faint hearted!!
He also did 'Dead Ringers' which is such a strange film! Definitely not one to watch if you're scared of going to the gynecologist, have an appointment in the near future or are generally squeamish!
Ha i have a really twisted mind when it comes to which films i like :)

Is that documentary about Phillipe Petit? I think that was his name. There was also a Steve McPeak who walked a tightrope across the Grand Canyon
!
I've heard that the key to walking a highwire is to never look downwards. It's if you look downwards and realize the height that at that point you feel fear.

Wow! I couldn't imagine walking across the Grand Canyon, that's ust totally amazing. I guess it makes sense to not look down but even if I wasn't looking down I would still feel fear. Well, actually i would never do it in the first place! The bloke on 'Man on Wire' said it was as if they built the Twin Towers for him, like he was born to do it... wowzers.
