Hello all,
:new:
Firstly, may I say what a great idea this is for those who are interested in all aspects of counselling and or psychotherapy. I will certainly pass on this link to all my friends and colleagues who I think will be interested.
Secondly, who I am. I am a counsellor and live in the North West of England. I am 45 years of age and have a partner and two teenage sons and a dog called Pepsi. You can imagine then that my life is by no means quiet - although I do manage to squeeze in some quiet time for myself some of the time.
With regard to my work, I have my own private practice which i thoroughly enjoy. As if this were not enough, I am also doing a PhD in counselling and researching what clients find helpful in therapy.
Look forward to hearing from other members.
Warmest wishes
Sue

Hi Sue
Welcome to the forum.. i'm really glad that you found us and hope this forum will be of use to you and any friends/trainees you may know.
Certainly sounds as though you're very busy! What a cute name for a dog! Your PHD sounds really really interesting (and hard work) and i wish you all the best for it. I remember doing my dissertation for my postgrad in psychology and had real problems finding enough participants so if you ever need any participants in questionnaires, etc. let me know as I'd be more than happy to help out!
Take care and look forward to seeing you around the forum, as and when you have time :)

Thanks for welcome and yes I would love some participants for my research.
I have a webpage which essentially consists of an online questionnaire. Would it be ok to post it on this forum in a new thread?

Sure - Am not sure which subforum it'd best fit in to but feel free to make a thread with the link - hope it helps with your research.
I'm off to work now but will take a proper look tonight :)

Hi Sue
I'm also a counsellor working in the North West, so maybe we have crossed paths!
Good luck with your PhD and I'd be happy to participate in your study too.

Hi Nellie,
I am actually in Preston and practice there. Good to know there are some northerners here :-).
