View Full Version : Are left-handed people more artistic than right-handed people?

I've always wondered this, since I am left-handed. Though, strangely, I can only throw with my right arm. It's wierd to write at times, because my hand will slide across the paper and smudge what I've just written. But I'm proud of being left-handed. Though I'm not sure if it matters much.
What are your thoughts on this?

I'm a leftie... so I'm biased. And I HATE exam time, because I always walk out of the exam room with a blue hand from the pen ink. Most arty people I have met are lefties... but I have never met a left handed art or music teacher.

I know :) At the end of the day there will be a smudge on the edge of my hand from the pencil. I don't seem to have this problem as much now, because I write with the kind of pens that don't give out so much ink.

Well I consider myself to be artistic and I'm right handed so :dunno: tbh I don't really know many left handed people so I can't judge. The one left handed person I do know is very artistic though.

I'm right handed and I'd love to be a leftie.. i'd love to be different! lol Oh ok, yes i know.. i'm unique - just like everybody else!
To be honest though I am not sure if there's a difference in artistic differences. I imagine there's lots of research been carried out on it though.. i guess there must be some link to the left and right sides of the brain, but i'm not clued up on that stuff :pixie:

Lefties are said to be more intune with their artistic side. I am a righty and can't draw worth a hoot. Yet my sibling who are lefties have a wonderful artist ability and musical ability
