Hi,
Just to let you know that you are able to change your settings for your profile, signature, avatar, etc. by going to the User Control Panel (that's at the top of the screen on the left hand side and called 'User CP').
You can, for example, decide whether your name appears at the bottom of the main forum page under the 'current active users'. The default is set to show your name as being online but if you would rather not let others know, you can go to the User CP then click on Edit Options and there is a 'use invisible mode' option there.
