I went to see Avatar last night and I was pleasantly surprised. Sci Fi films aren't my thing so I wasn't looking forward to it but the whole 3D thing really amazed me. Story line was better than I'd expected but still very predictable.. and they could easily have knocked an hour off the length of the film.. but apart that it was really good!

Anyone else seen it?

I'm afraid to see it because I heard that people got sick while watching it! My aunt and grandma are seeing it today, and my cousin said it was the best movie she'd ever seen. I'm not really into that kind of stuff, though.

I saw it a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it - however NOT in
3D as our cinema doesn't have that facility!

no, i haven't seen it. so far all i've heard is that it's like pocahontas, and it's either really really good, or really really bad. i havent heard any 'it was okays' from anyone. i might go and see it... or i might wait for it to come out on dvd or something and watch it then.

Ahh yes, i did feel a little motion sickness at the beginning of the film but i got used to it. I personally think if it wasn't for the whole 3D thing then I wouldn't be too fussed about the film.. that's what made it good for me

I thought it was great because of the message it carries. There are a few messages in it actually. Touching movie.

Thumbs up

I agree with you Mel, its has a really valuable message about diversity difference and looking after our planet and all the living things in it. There was a spiritual element that touched me too and I thought it was just stunning visually.

Honestly I am not usually into sci fi either and was dragging my heels going in but it was a really super dooper fantastic film. I love being surprised and this was a good one.

Do go if you can Indie..really I think its just brilliant.

5 cheers for Avatar

xx Cherries in a pie on a magic horsey dragon thing flying through the air wooohoooo!! xx
